Traditional Headsails

We are extremely proud that we still have the traditional skills to hand sew seams, ropes, grommets and leather in the traditional manner and can tailor the finish from modern to totally bespoke hand finishing.

Design Features:

  • A choice of cuts – cross cut, mitre cut, scotch cut, vertical cut
  • A variety of traditional piston hanks
  • Wire, Dyneema or traditional rope luff
  • Optional hand sewn bolt rope
  • Optional hand sewn rings, grommets and ear rings
  • Available in white, cream, English Tan, Dutch Tanbark

Cross cut, mitre, Scotch, and vertical cuts, varying levels of traditional finish, high tech additions such as torque rope luff rather than wire for Wykeham Martin type furlers, improves furling and ease of stow. Available in Dacron, Tall Ship canvas and Clipper canvas. Optional Dyneema luff rope for hanked sails to ease handling. Colours include white, cream, English and Dutch tan.
